It has been reported that Instagram is qualifying a significant update on June 20th, involving 1-hour videos.
“The feature, which could allow videos of up to an hour in length, will focus on vertical video, or video that is taller than it is wide, one of the people said. Until now, Instagram hasn’t allowed users to post any videos longer than one minute. The people said the plans are tentative and subject to change.” – Wall Street Journal
There were some leaks from TechCrunch implying that Instagram is assembling to develop video-directed pages. This move would make it simpler to explore and file video content. Although, the company’s video platform could compete with YouTube’s service.
