Spotify Owns Up To R Kelly Rollback! | MUSIK !D TV NEWS
On May 31st, Daniel Ek (CEO of Spotify) admitted that the company misgoverned how it broadcasted plans to erase R.Kelly and other musicians’ music.
Spotify released a statement that they have created a new policy on hate speech and offensive conduct, along with removing R. Kelly’s music from their playlists on May 10th. R.Kelly has been publicly accused of sexual misconduct against a numerous amount of women. This announcement caused a significant backfire from the public; even some Spotify users disagree with this decision.
