Patreon Creators Struggling? | MUSIK !D TV NEWS
Patreon had an amazing year in 2017 by reaching 1 million monthly content creators on their platform. The company claims that the creators would obtain $150 million last year. The question is: is that statement true?
A traveling photographer, Brent Knapper, decided to give Patreon a chance. He only received $163 from few patrons after months creating his Patreon. Also, an artist named Ayla Arthur earns $200 a month after spending 20-25 hours uploading new comics on Patreon.
Graphtreon.com has charted all active Patreon campaigns since March 2015. Currently, Patreon has 79,420 creators, but only 1,939 creators received a national monthly minimum wage of $1,160 a month in Oct. 2017.
