It’s difficult for Billboard to analyze artists and place them on the charts because of streaming. Back then, it was simple because they can gather physical retail purchases and radio airplay. Billboard decided to rearrange the advisement of artists, labels, distributors, publishers, consumers, and other elements in music.
Starting in 2018, Billboard will have many measured categories of streaming plays for the Hot 100. The Billboard 200 will establish the most favored albums of the week positioned on multi-metric consumption, which contains conventional album sales, track comparable albums, and streaming comparable albums.
