SOUNDCLOUD FIGHTS FOR SURVIVAL | MUSIK !D TV NEWS
We at Musik !D TV have voiced our concern for SoundCloud's future after they laid off 40 percent of its staff and closed their San Francisco and London offices. Now, there's no need for us and fellow musicians to be concerned because SoundCloud may be selling stakes to two major investors.
Bloomberg reported that Raine Group, a boutique bank who invested in Vice Media Inc.and advised Softbank Group Corp. on its acquisition of Sprint Corp.; and Temasek Holdings, Singapore’s state investment firm, is currently in negotiations to strike a deal with the popular music-streaming service.
